Our current pastor is Reverend Daniel Dean. Brother Daniel grew up in Mingo County and is a graduate of Gilbert High School.   He began preaching at the age of 17 and served as youth director in his home church, Riverview Freewill Baptist Church before moving to Nashville Tennessee in 1983 to attend Free Will Baptist Bible College.  Brother Daniel received a Theology degree from Free Will Baptist Bible College and a Masters in Education from Middle  Tennessee State University.

While still a student he began pastoring First Free Will Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN in June 1985 and continued to pastor there until August 1993 at which time he felt the Lord's leading to return to WV.  He began pastoring Calvary Baptist Church in December of 1993.
