This is His Story...Jesus' Story

Who is this man? Jesus…

He came to earth as a baby  … God’s only Son. Fully God and fully man.

He faced the same things we face, felt the same things we feel.

            Laughed … cried … grieved.

He lived a perfect, blameless, faultless, sinless life. He did no wrong.

            He didn’t do anything wrong.

He healed the sick,
     helped the poor,
          rescued the lost,
               fed the masses,
                    gave hope to the hopeless,
He loved the unloved.

He was loved, exalted, praised, admired and adored.

He was tried by Pontius Pilate and found not guilty but was given over to be crucified.

Did I mention He didn’t do anything wrong?

He was whipped, over and over and over.

Bruised and battered, he was spat upon by those that said they loved Him.

He was nailed to a cross through His hands and feet.

He wore a crown of piercing thorns.

He was pierced in the side with a spear

He submitted himself to the will of God, His father,

in order to be the perfect, pure sacrifice for the sins of the world.

            Your sins and my sins…

Jesus died and was buried in a tomb for three days.

On the third day he rose from the dead –

            He was alive,
death had no power over Him,

and through Him we receive life.

For God so loved the world, me and you, that he sent His one and only Son,Jesus, to pay for the penalty of our wrongs, our sins. And when we believe in Him, and call upon HIS name, we receive eternal life in heaven.

If you would like to receive the free gift of salvation and eternal life that Jesus offers you can pray a prayer like this…

    Dear Jesus,

I know I have sinned and I am sorry. I want to turn away from my sin and ask you into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I believe that Jesus lived a sinless life, that he was killed on a cross, and that He rose after being dead for three days. I turn myself over to you, please send your Holy Spirit to guide me as I build my relationship with you. Amen.

I just prayed that prayer … now what?
